What Bonny does
I am a performance and executive coach, facilitator, trainer and
consultant with over 25 years of experience in the fields of
learning, energy management, information processing - and
particularly the barriers that prevent these from occurring. I
am also a woman, a grateful mother, an avid traveler, a
sometimes hiker and always a horse and dog lover.
I am a person who sometimes struggles with the hectics of
overloaded days like so many of us in this frenzied world. Once
in a while I have to remind myself of the purpose of it all.
But most of the time I am simply a happy person.
What Bonny has done
I was born and educated in the USA. After completing my
studies in philosophy, I decided to take off and see the world. I went for a visit to see my relatives in
Switzerland. This short visit turned out to last over 35 years!
In Switzerland I started out teaching English as a Second
Language (which was infinitely easier than finding gainful
employment as a philosopher). I soon became the pedagogic head
of two large language schools. My curiosity and passion for
learning theory, cognition and language sent me back to my
homeland to do advanced studies in Sociolinguistics at NYU New
York University.
Though life has led me down a number of varied professional
paths, my constant source of interest has been learning and
self-development … how we learn, why we learn, what we learn and
forget, and, most importantly, how we subconsciously block
ourselves from becoming the uniquely-talented and
highly-creative individuals that we were meant to be.
In short, whatever I have done with client companies, educational institutions in
private practice and in running my own companies, it has been
devoted to the development of new learning and performance
strategies to ease learning and to remove barriers to success in
the performance arena.
Where Bonny is heading
If we want to look at it this way: time is short. Why waste
it? So, I am ever on the lookout for innovative ways to
accelerate the learning process. I search out tried and true
models and experiment with them in new forms. This keeps me on
my toes, enjoying every moment of my coaching sessions, workshops
and consultations. And it keeps my clients happy.
Currently, I am on a passionate exploration of some intriguing
new forms of learning. My goal is to find and refine learning
methods that are peer-supported and help my clients apply
learned material in a more deeply engrained and self-sustaining
way in everyday life.
In general, I like things short and
snappy. It’s the same with learning: the process should be a
series of brief and intensive experiences that are compelling,
experiential and can be implemented immediately in real life. |
