(dyscalculia) at school, or if you, yourself, still feel on
“slippery ground” when you need to do math on the job, then the
Davis Math Mastery® program is for you. Just as with all the Davis programs, we go directly to the root issues that cause you to be having problems in the first place. Traditional teaching methods, with their emphasis on rote memory and heavy reliance on symbolic language at too early an age, enhance the problem for the dyslexic learning math. Visual-spatial thinkers can easily be confused by the words and symbols which describe math functions. PROGRAM CONTENTS The Basic Tools The content of the Davis Dyslexia Correction® program which teaches the mental tools to clear perceptual distortions and to recover quickly from confusion and stress The Davis Math Mastery® Program
• Foundation concepts for understanding and learning math;
• Numbers, numerals, quantities, and counting; • Arithmetic operations • Fractions and decimals • Comprehension of word problems • Place value • Telling time or keeping track of time; • Using a calendar for appointments, projects • Money exchanges, making change Length This is a 5-10 day program, 6 hrs of instruction per day, It is best in 2 blocks with approximately 2 months in between modules. The length of the program varies, depending on the your needs. Included in the cost of the program:
